Ecological responsibility

As part of our sustainability strategy, our goal is to continuously develop our fields of action and make them transparent. To make this measurable in the long term, we are developing the corresponding KPIs. 

We are working to continuously reduce energy and resource consumption in our business processes. The data centers we use in Germany are powered by 100% renewable energy and have energy management systems certified to ISO 50001.

Many further steps are in the planning stage, led by our Sustainability Management team. More information can be found in the Sustainability Statement (Nonfinancial Group statement”) of our United Internet Group, which is included in the annual report. At the end of March 2026, United Internet AG’s sustainability statement (“Nonfinancial Group statement”) was published for the first time as part of the annual report - a sign of the importance that environmental, social, and governance (ESG) factors have come to hold within companies.
